Nokia N95 Review

Hi Everyone, 


So I've offically had my N95 for a week (Today). And I must say I'm about 99.9% impressed by everything this phone can do, and there is very few features that this phone can not do. The one thing that's been bugging is the Battery Life of the Phone, It's barely acceptable to say the least. I've installed only a few apps on it, a Jaiku client, Shozu client to upload photos to Flickr, and also the Vox Client. The Other day I had it charged full, Only used to post to Jaiku thru the phone a few times, listen to voicemail, and a little web browsing, and the battery was shot by 7pm after turning it on around 10am, without techinally making a phone call. 

I received some tips, thanks to my Jaiku buddy's, and turned off the Bluetooth, and WiFi since I'm on the T-Mobile unlimited internet plan. And that has sort of made a difference in the battery life. I charged it all night last night, so I'm testing today to see how long it lasts with all of the extra stuff turned off. 

Otherwise, It's an amazing phone, and will go after the iPhone with a strong left hook, and quite possibly could have already knocked it out. The Camera quality is amazing, now I won't be ashamed to use a phone as my primary camera should I leave the Powershot at home when I'm heading out for something. 

Call quality is fantastic, Web Browsing is also great. Haven't tested the GPS yet, but I hope to soon. 

Hopefully this mini review, will help some of you in deciding whether you want this phone or not, which I'm sure most of you already really want it, if you are reading this!

I've Uploaded a few photos, that I took with my N95 this morning. Quality is superb. I'm very impressed with this Phone. Once I get use to all the controls, I wonder if I'll even want an iPhone when it comes out in June.

The Weather

I understand, that it's Boston and New England, but Mother Nature really needs to give us a Break. Yesterday with the Cold Rain, Sleet and sometimes Snow thrown in it felt like Mid-January rather than Mid-April. I will be anxious to see what happens with the Boston Marathon on Monday, I heard on the news that the only time they have EVER cancelled it was During one of the World Wars in the Early 1900's. 


Someone yesterday did point out though that we should be lucky that all we have to deal with is Snow and Rain here in the New England Area, while other parts of the country have deal with Hurricanes, and Tornado's which can be much Deadlier than a Snow and Rain Storm.  

But at some point it just needs to end and the weather needs to get nicer, Baseball Season has started and it looks like the Sox will lose out on 2 home games this weekend, with Thursday's being Rained/Snowed out and Monday's Game as well because they play at 10:00AM on Patriot's Day (Yes, that's a 7AMPST First Pitch for all you West Coast Bloggers) The LA Angels are in town. 

Anywoo, Enough talking about this, on the bright side it is Mid-April which translate's into less than a Month of Classes then the official Summer begins!

Here we go again

Ok, For Some Reason whenever I say I'm going to start a blog, I blog constantly for about 2-3 days then forget about it for 2 months and try to start it up again, and that NEVER works. So I here I go again and this time I promise I will try to update frequently for your reading enjoyment. And if I somehow lose my mind and throw down $700 for a new Nokia Phone photos and videos will then be uploaded too! Someone Convince me to buy one please! 


Ok enough ranting, let me think of what I want to say in 2nd, First Entry and I'll be back soon!
